Research Topic: The Economic Effects of Outsourcing to and Importing from China
Research Question: How is the national and local economy negatively affected by American investment in Chinese goods and labor?
Research Hypothesis: Supporting local businesses will give them the opportunity to prosper, even when they are in tight competition with billion-dollar corporations. Less Americans will lose their jobs to Chinese workers, and the values of community will be preserved.

Individual Video: Why do Companies Resort to Outsourcing?

Community members weigh their opinion on outsourcing. Convenience and cheap prices have a greater influence on the decision of where to shop. Large corporations outsource for cheaper labor, while taking away American jobs.
