Research Topic: The Economic Effects of Outsourcing to and Importing from China
Research Question: How is the national and local economy negatively affected by American investment in Chinese goods and labor?
Research Hypothesis: Supporting local businesses will give them the opportunity to prosper, even when they are in tight competition with billion-dollar corporations. Less Americans will lose their jobs to Chinese workers, and the values of community will be preserved.

Mini-Saga: Local

Local Business
Two best friends decided to open a beauty shop in a local town. They spent months planning and advertising. On the day of their Grand Opening, they hoped all their hard work would pay off. Unfortunately, their store didn't do as well as they hoped and had to shut down.

I like the pictures in this saga. They accurately depict the storyline, especially the empty parking lot picture representing slow business.
