Research Topic: The Economic Effects of Outsourcing to and Importing from China
Research Question: How is the national and local economy negatively affected by American investment in Chinese goods and labor?
Research Hypothesis: Supporting local businesses will give them the opportunity to prosper, even when they are in tight competition with billion-dollar corporations. Less Americans will lose their jobs to Chinese workers, and the values of community will be preserved.

Individual Video: Wal-Mart Interview

In this interview, we asked a local Northridge resident why she shops at Wal-Mart. She represents the local perspective; how convenience affects where people shop, rather than the well-being of the economy.
